How credits work

What credits are, what each action costs, and what happens when you run out.

Credits are how Mr Create meters AI work. Your account has one credit balance, and it's shared across every business you own — building a site in one business draws from the same pool as an edit in another. Paid plans refill that balance monthly; everything else about credits works the same on every plan.

Your free starter credits#

New accounts get 500 free credits, granted automatically the first time you use Mr Create — there's nothing to claim and no button to click. It's a one-time grant (there's no monthly free refill), and it's enough for a handful of full site builds, so you can take the whole product for a spin before subscribing.

What costs credits#

Action Cost
Full site build — generating a new site or rebuilding one 100 credits
Targeted AI edit — a chat message asking for a change to an existing site 20 credits
Annotation edit round — draw + comment, up to 20 notes sent together 20 credits
Drafting a social post — caption, hashtags, and its image 15 credits (5 for a text-only post)
Drafting a document 15 credits
AI-generated site image replacement 10 credits
Studio image — each generation, including edits and remixes 10 credits
Re-generating a post's images from the edit panel 10 credits per slide
Document AI edit — a chat refinement of an existing document 5 credits
Direct text edits, site image-library choices and uploads, customer tracking, publishing, and the business setup chat Included — no credits

A targeted edit always costs 20 credits, even when the AI decides the change needs a bigger rework behind the scenes — you're never bumped up to the full build price mid-edit. Every button that spends credits shows its price right on it, next to a small sparkle icon, so there are no surprises.

Rollover and refunds#

Unused credits roll over each month — they don't expire, and your remaining balance stays usable even if you cancel your subscription.

Credits are deducted the moment an action starts. If the run fails or stalls, the exact amount charged is refunded to your balance automatically — you're never charged for work you didn't get. Failed runs show an error state so you can simply try again. Partial results are refunded proportionally too: if some slides of a carousel can't be generated, the missing slides come back to your balance, and if a social post's image fails, you keep the caption and only pay its share.

Where to see your balance#

Your balance is always visible in the sidebar footer, right under your email — for example "500 credits". You'll also find it in SettingsSubscription, alongside your plan name and renewal date.

Note

In a shared business, everyone spends the owner's balance — collaborators see the shared amount with the note "Credits provided by the business owner". More on this in Team & collaboration.

When you run out#

If your balance is too low for an action, Mr Create blocks it before anything starts — your balance can never go negative, and nothing half-finishes. You'll see the message "You have run out of credits. Upgrade your plan to keep building."

There's no way to buy credits one-off: the way to add more is a Plus or Pro subscription, which adds 1,000 or 3,000 credits every month on top of whatever you have left. Compare them on Plans & pricing, and see managing your subscription for how to upgrade.
