Plans & Billing

Managing your subscription

Upgrade, switch billing periods, update payment details, or cancel.

Everything about your subscription lives in one place: the Subscription tab of Settings. That's where you upgrade, check your renewal date, and open the billing portal to change or cancel your plan.

Not sure which plan you need first? Start with Plans & pricing.

Upgrade to a paid plan#

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Open the Subscription tab.
  3. Pick a billing period with the monthly / yearly toggle. Yearly is selected by default and saves 21%.
  4. Click Subscribe on the Plus or Pro card.
  5. Complete your payment in the secure checkout powered by Stripe. If you have a promotion code, you can enter it there.

Your credits arrive as soon as the payment goes through: monthly plans add 1,000 (Plus) or 3,000 (Pro) credits each month, and yearly plans grant the whole year upfront — 12,000 or 36,000. New credits stack on top of whatever balance you already have, and unused credits roll over.

Check your subscription at a glance#

The Subscription tab shows a status card with your plan name, your current credit balance, and your renewal date — for example "Plus plan" and "1,000 credits · renews July 28". If you've already cancelled, it reads "ends" with the date instead. If a payment has failed, an amber badge (such as "past due") appears — open the billing portal to fix your payment method.

Change your plan, switch billing periods, or update your card#

Once you're subscribed, you never go through checkout again — all changes happen in the billing portal instead, which keeps you from accidentally ending up with two subscriptions.

  1. Open SettingsSubscription.
  2. Click Manage billing (or Change plan on the other plan's card — both open the same portal).
  3. In the portal, switch between Plus and Pro, switch monthly and yearly, update your payment method, or view your invoices.

Your current plan's card in Settings shows a disabled Current plan button, so it's always clear which plan you're on.

Downgrading can pause collaborator access. Moving to Plus keeps the five longest-standing members active in each business, while moving to Free pauses every collaborator. Nobody is removed: paused members remain listed in Share and automatically regain access when a seat opens or you move back to a plan with room. See Team & collaboration for details.

Cancel your subscription#

Cancelling also happens in the billing portal — click Manage billing and choose to cancel there. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for; until then, Settings shows "ends" with the date. After that date your account returns to the Free plan.

When the Free plan takes effect, collaborator access is paused until you subscribe again. Your members and their permissions stay saved.

Note

Cancelling never takes away credits. Whatever balance you have left stays on your account and remains fully usable — see how credits work.
