Team & collaboration

Invite teammates to a business and control which tabs they can use.

You can share a business with teammates so more than one person can work on its website, images, posts, documents, and customer list. As the owner, you decide exactly which tabs each person can see and which they can change.

Note

Collaboration is rolling out gradually and may not be available on every account yet. If you don't see a Share button in your sidebar, it hasn't reached your account.

Seats by plan#

Inviting teammates requires a paid plan, and the number of collaborators depends on the business owner's plan:

Plan Collaborators per business
Free Not available
Plus Up to 5
Pro Unlimited

Pending invites count toward the limit until they're accepted, revoked, or expire. See Plans & pricing for everything else each tier includes.

If the owner downgrades, Mr Create pauses access instead of removing anyone. Free pauses every collaborator; Plus keeps the five longest-standing members active in each business; and Pro activates everyone. Paused members stay listed in People with access and automatically regain access when a seat opens or the owner returns to a plan with room.

Note

An invite link stays tied to the email address it was created for and expires after 14 days. If the owner's current plan has no available seat when the person accepts, they must wait for a seat to open or ask the owner to upgrade.

Invite a teammate#

  1. Open the business and click Share in the sidebar.
  2. Under Teammate's email, enter your teammate's address (for example, "partner@example.com").
  3. Set their access for each tab — Website, Studio, Social Media, Customers, Documents, and (where available) Emails and Bookings — using the None, Read, and Edit buttons. Everything starts at Edit.
  4. Check Can publish website if they should be able to publish the site — it's off by default and requires Website Read or Edit access.
  5. Click Send invite. Mr Create emails a secure invitation link to your teammate.

The confirmation tells you whether Mr Create sent the email. Email sent means the mail provider accepted it; it does not guarantee that it reached the inbox, so ask your teammate to check spam if it does not arrive. Email could not be sent means the provider rejected the attempt; Email delivery unconfirmed means Mr Create could not verify the result. In either case, the invite itself still works: after the resend wait shown on the button, use Try email again or Copy link in the Pending invites list. The normal wait is one minute; a long-running unconfirmed attempt may show a longer wait to prevent a duplicate email. You can also use Copy link after any successful send to share the invitation by text or chat. Invite links expire after 14 days.

To prevent invitation-email abuse, each invite allows up to 10 email attempts, each owner can send up to 20 invitation emails per hour and 50 per day, and one address can receive up to 10 per day across Mr Create. These limits affect email delivery only — Copy link remains available.

Accepting an invite#

The invite is tied to the email address it was created for.

  1. Open the invite link you received.
  2. Sign in — or create an account — with the exact email address that was invited.
  3. Review the "You'll get access to" summary, then click Accept invite.

You'll land straight in the shared business. If you're signed in with a different email, click Switch account, then sign in with the invited address. If the link has expired or been revoked, ask the owner to create and send a new one.

What teammates can and can't do#

A teammate sees the business with a Shared badge and only the tabs they've been granted; the About tab is always visible but read-only. With Edit access they can work in a tab just like you; with Read access they can look but not change anything. Publishing the website requires both Website Read or Edit access and the separate publish permission.

Some things always stay with the owner: billing, custom domains, deleting a website or the business, and inviting or managing teammates.

AI work in a shared business — like site builds (100 credits) and targeted AI edits (20 credits) — is always paid from the owner's credit balance, no matter who triggers it. Teammates see the shared balance in the sidebar, but never your plan or billing details.

Note

Mr Create rejects stale Website section, email, and document saves instead of overwriting a teammate's newer work. If you see a message that the item changed in another session, reload the latest version and apply your change again.

Managing members and leaving#

In the Share dialog, each person under People with access has Edit access (change their tab grants) and Remove buttons. Pending invites show their access summary, email-send status, and expiration date. Use Resend email (or Try email again when a send is unconfirmed), Copy link, or Revoke. Resending keeps the same link and expiration date. Access changes are enforced right away, and the member isn't notified. If they already have the workspace open, they may need to refresh before the visible tabs and controls match the new access.

Paused members keep their place in the reactivation order. To invite a replacement when your plan is already at its limit, Remove the paused member you no longer need first.

A teammate can leave an active shared business at any time with the Leave control next to the Shared badge in their sidebar. If their seat is paused, opening a saved link to the business redirects to Your access is paused instead of showing workspace data; click Leave shared business there to remove the retained membership.
